Tonight at Saint James Church, at 6:00pm, the Living Room, (the main sanctuary) will be open with worship music playing, for people to pray. This offers an opportunity for all of us to experience and grow in the presence of the Holy Spirit. At 6:30, we will offer communion and the anointing with oil to all who are present.
(Communion is a remembrance of the body and blood of Christ, which Jesus tells us to partake of often. And the oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, who is the power and virtue of Christ in our lives. These empower us to experience encouragement and healing in Christ by faith.)
Please join us in intercessory prayer for our nation, church body, families, our city and any other prayer need that the Holy Spirit lays on your heart. If you are in need of pray than please come by and we will anoint you with oil and pray for you. God encourages us to pray for one another, to provide biblical encouragement and to bring our request before His throne.
Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14 (NLT)
Other prayer times are Sunday mornings from 9:00am to 9:45am in the Erwin Center
