Junior Arts Ministry (J.A.M.)
J.A.M. is a ministry with the intent to introduce children to Christ and reveal gifts and talents in each child. It also ministers to the entire family as well as outreaching to the community through performances that include life lessons from the Bible. It is based on the scripture, Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We also focus on the Biblically based scripture that the body has many parts, and each person plays an important part in J.A.M. and in the Body of Christ.
I am a strong believer that J.A.M. should be a place where kids are welcomed and trained in the truths of the Bible. The process that I take is to develop these kids into faithful Disciples of Christ. We do this through weekly Bible study, worship and prayer, as well as learning songs, lines and choreography and staging. JAM has been my passion for about 15 years as I have worked with kids at my home church in California. I have been teaching JAM in Colorado Springs for 6 years. Jesus views kids as a valuable part of the kingdom of God, and JAM strives to fulfill this vision. This, I believe, is the purpose for J.A.M.
